It seems that a certain group of medical doctors feel that seeing patients is grunt work. It should be left for others to do. Not for me.
So they find projects and careers that involve healthcare but removes them from seeing and examining patients.
They are proud to boast that they no longer do clinical work. They have arrived at a new status in healthcare.
The medical doctor who does not see or examine patients.
But I thought that the role of the medical doctor is to see and examine and help patients.
Why waste decades of training and experience that is lost. Why not spend even a small amount of time with patients.
Patients are far worse off when the elite go off to think deeply about something.
These elite doctors feel elevated in their new role as doctors who no longer do clinical work.
