I was talking to a group of 4 nurse practitioners who serve a farming community of over 12,000.

They do not have a doctor working with them.

Their funding is from the government. The funding is in 2 buckets: 1) operations and 2) HR and salaries.

The operations budget has not been increased in 15 years. The clinic has a monthly shortfall in funding for operations.

So, what do the NPs do?

They take money from their salaries to pay the overhead costs.

Does not seem right to me?

So Healtheon is a perfect solution for this NP led clinic.

They could set the monthly subscription low e.g. $10 to $15 per person per month.

And have adequate funding to continue to operate on a sustainable basis.

They could also likely attract a medical doctor if they could pay him a monthly bonus.

We, at Healtheon, welcome discussions with more NP led clinics so that we can help them to help their patients.
